Like other Mac users I am sometimes very lazy and I want to have things simply done without any work. So I want to sync my data across my Macs, PDA and mobile in that easy way. Besides the syncing with my PDA and mobile which works well with Sync the more complicated is the syncing my two Macs.
I want to share my bookmarks, my adressbook and my calendar on both Macs. Apple’s idea for that is .Mac. With this webbased service you can sync your data using webdav-technology. Unfortunately Apple wants you to pay 99€ p.a. for that service.
Normally as Linux-addict I would say that it would be possible to build your own syncing app and let it work with any webdav-enabled webserver.
But when you remember my laziness I am willing to pay for a perfect implementated app and a good and reliable service. But not nearly 100€ a year.
So I looked for a more valuable offer. I will try out the offers I found until I am convinced of one. I try first the cheapest offer.
MacDisk.de offers the cheapest package for 26.64€ p.a. or 2.22€ per month. I will try the functionality for one month for free and then we will see.

Well, I will not try that for one month. One day was enough to decide that this will definitively not the solution for me. iCal-sync does not work, the sync-app crashes every first start-up… No. Sorry guys from macdisk.de…
